It's odd when I look at my friends list. I've added a little over 50 friend codes but only have about half confirmed. Am I doing something wrong? Is anyone else having this issue?

Maybe some people don't add you back, I still have like 10 unconfirmed people but I ain't mad, I got like 30 safaris but no ditto one yet :/

I think it's the third Pokemon in the safari spot, he has to be online the same time as you so it can appear. In other words, if his avi is shown when you pick his safari, it should be there
