Pokemon Wars Court Case: Houndoom v. Blaziken (Example Court Case)

I was talking to Houndoom the other day and he convinced me to change Blaziken's tier placement. Therefor I decided to make it into an example of how people should challenge the rules.

Statement: Blaziken doesn't belong in the uber tier. Speed boost Blaziken should be OU and blaze Blaziken should be in UU.

Reasoning: Blaze Blaziken is only uber because speed boost blaziken is. Blaze Blazziken is not powerful enough for the uber tier.

Speed boost Blaziken has weak defenses and can eaisly be OHKO by the right Pokemon. Not to mention it can also be stopped by priority moves and focus sashed pokemon.

The only argument I can think of is that Blaziken's got monstrous Attack and access to Swords Dance, then it's got Speed Boost allowing it to outspeed most threats to it and potentially sweep an entire team after one setup (especially in the sun spamming a STAB Fire move). Other than that I didn't understand why it was placed in Ubers.

True but it could also easily get knocked out on the turn of sword dance. It's defenses aren't great I mean they aren't sharpedo bad but still...

That's why most Blaziken users have Focus Sash on it, so it survives a life-threatening hit allowing it to either survive the turn it sets up Swords Dance, or survive anything that outspeeds it (like a priority move) and kill that off on the same turn (assuming Swords Dance is already set up). Perhaps we should put it to testing first just in case?

You make very good points and I probably will end up sending speed boost blaziken back to ubers based on this however if you happen to have a speed boost blaziken I would love to give this a test run before I do so..

I have a Speed Boost Torchic, but I'll have to raise it to Blaziken and EV Train it. Otherwise I can easily legal hack a Blaziken fast and use that for testing purposes. I think I'll also run some tests on PO because I have access to that too.
