So I talked to these guys whose forum is also dead. I told them I was going to spam their forum with a link to this one. In return, I'll put a link of their forum here. That way one of the forums can die completely and the other have new people. In the end, we all just want a place where we can meet new Poketards and have epic battles. Plus, I don't see any admins, so I'm doing this.


Problem is... What do I put? How would you guys describe this forum? Can you share any awesome moments or memories that always kept you in this forum?

I wanna know why you liked this place. So help me so I can spam, so we can have more members, so we can be more active.

TBH, I think it'd be better to migrate to a site with active admins. The best feature on this site specifically was the chatbox - all the other good stuff came from the members.

Sorry guys. doing my best, but its pretty difficult being the only active admin between work and life.
I'm doing what I can as to not just vanish like the other admins have. Sadly I know very little about updating the forum's look and just don't have the time to invest in hunting out new members...

@Aurath - everyone's busy, and we do appreciate all you do in your abundant spare time. Sadly, without full administrative access, I don't believe you can build up the core support team to help keep things going - and that means the inevitable demise of things.

Seeing as how I just got Alpha Sapphire (pirates ftw!), I wanna keep going. I just don't think we can do that here, so I'd rather keep the group together as much as possible, even if we have to relocate, instead of seeing a slow attrition of apathy.

Hey, if you do find a decent, active forum (that's not as crowded as Serebii's or Smogon's), do let us all know, Yf!

Welp. That's it, guys, it was a good run. This was sort of a last resort deal for me. And it failed before it even had a chance.


Anyway, me and a group of four other guys hangout in a group chat on Skype. They all own ORAS and SSB4. Won't be a forum or anything official but it's still as fun.

Anyone want to join us, send me a request at Sick Souls. We could all hang out and have a few multi battles. It's great due to the notifications.

Well SS, why not take the free time you seem to have, teach yourself how to work the design part under the admin panel so you could tidy this place up and help run the place rather than giving up and running off?

While we're on the topic of site design, let me just say NEW LOOK CAME OF NOWHERE OH MY ARCEUS IT'S WHITE AND FRESH AND deleting my letters as I type. I'm suddenly less impressed with the change than I was a couple of minutes ago. Also on the topic, I do know my way around the admin panel, so Aurath, if you ever need a hand with something you're not sure of just send me a message and I'll help as best I can.

So, there's this thing called shameless advertising that apparently exists. I've (re?)discovered it and I'm going to be uploading my uber cool brand new long-ass hardcore softcore adventure/angst/crime/drama/friendship/humor/mystery/romance??/tragedy Pokemon fanfiction about three teens who each have god dammit my phone crashed and this is all I had copied. If anyone wants an idea of what I'm writing then here's a draft description.

It's a thing:

Basically, I'll be uploading some extra chapters to Pokemon Wars and hoping some people that read it stick around. I've nearly finished writing the whole plot outline, so I'll be writing and uploading the unnamed fanfiction soon. From experience, long stories with plenty off effort put into them almost always get plenty of views, so I should be good putting it up on my newer account.

Definitely already talked about that. Oh well, it's relevant now.

Nearly done. Just wondering, but who's in charge of the Pokemon Wars YouTube channel? To my knowledge there's only been a video about the site posted and that's it. I always thought it had more potential, like someone recording Showdown videos and putting them up (nobody here has a capture card on their 3DS, do they?). I've played around with a combination of Mirillis Action!, Audacity and Sony Vegas before, and I've discovered it's not too hard to make something that'll reach out to the wider online Pokemon community with a little time and effort. Come on, team! Roll up your sleeves! There's plenty of work that can be done around here! For starters! Give me something for the newsletter! Vote for a member! Write about a Pokemon! Please! Mock cooking show? Just something, anything! I'm begging! *virtual ahem*

Definitely loving the new look. It gives hope. And Dem, they're not my friends. They're just people from other forums whose forums died but still weren't white done with the games. Really, I'll turn off notifications for most of the day and then turn them back on when I feel like playing with a group outside of ransoms.


I just wanna spam when I know the majority of us can be here to back up all the jolly crap I'd be saying. So, starting with Aurath and Yf, when are you guys available this week? Everyone else?

I have Tuesdays and Wednesdays off... Otherwise, I'm working until wayyyy late.

A YouTube channel would be awesome. No cap card here, but I could set up tripod camera to manually record videos... I got 1080i video on mah camera... Hmmm...

(Also, thank MrJito for the forum update. Ran into him last night, and he's also going to try updating the site's meta tags to give us better search priority with Google.)

Made a channel, and I'll get around to uploading some videos for us. If you've got a battle where you really shone, or have an innovative strategy to show off... link me a video code, and I'll record and upload it.

Maybe even do some commentary. I'll post a link up to be shared when I have some content for it.

That said... Someone needs to give me a banner for the site. 2560x1440, max 4mb.

Well, I can do showdown stuff, video wise at least. Dont do much 3ds anymore. But with that somebody just needs the right program to record with and we could just skype and do big group recordings

Jito is a good friend and founder of a couple of forums that brought me into Pokémon. He knows how it all works behind the scenes. However, he has retired from Pokemon. He had some spare time and kindly offered to give this place a spruce up.

As for video's... wasn't it Far who set up the youtube page?
Either way, might wanna get the updated link on here so we can add it and give the channel some followers XD

I don't wanna start providing a link to an empty page... professional pride, and all that.

Personally that be honorably great, however taking the forum entirely would be wrong in my part because this forum belongs to GreenCharizard. After two years of not being active (personal things out of the "online" world) I checked out this forum to see what it been up too and so Aurath n I talked n gave me permission to change the look. He hasn't requested nor we spoke to the owner of this forum (GC) to be taken over....

Sorry, For giving out wrong impression yes I came up after two years however it wasn't for just the update. I told Aurath that I wont mind giving a hand to help out this forum and this is why decided to start by changing the look of this place. I cant promise I will be online 24/7 but will try to be as active then my previous 2 years....

Let me correct that I retired from the Pokémon scene (Competitive Battles/ Gaming) not entirely from Pokémon in general.

If PW needs me around Im willing to take few hours every other day, Its up to the members here to decided what is best n needed.
