your right that mew can learn any move YF. However it only has 100 base stats. If you chose to go speed and offence is leaves it defence frail, defence builds leave its speed wanting. Its similar to Pokémon like Victini, a choice specs V-create will cripple anything that don't resist it.

The thing with mew however is while it is capable of running almost any move set, almost every Pokémon in the field that's mew is trying to copy can do what it can way better.
Its ability is pretty poor and its simply out preformed by almost any other Pokémon in the OU tier.

Yup. Take for instance, Trainer Anonymous's set, his Mewtwo runs bulk up, sucker punch, drain punch and zen headbutt. Bulk Up + Rest Scrafty does this much better simply thanks to its natural stats and ability. Hmm. Though Mew is faster.

Still, it's because of Mew's versatility that one can get rather creative.

100 in all stats is better than most pokes. Even if you choose to focus on one aspect, offense or defense, it's natural stats more than cover for any weakness.

its still lack lustier YF. I mean Victini still needs either a scarf, specs or band to make it viable... mew is the same. there's no need to carry a specific Pokémon to counter it, you just hit it hard a few times and its KOd.

All of you voting OU should really think long and hard if Mew is even a legitimate threat in OU with its psychic mono-typing, forgettable ability, the baton-pass complex ban, and general mediocre stat spread.

Also, Smogon has had mew in UU last gen as well. Frankly might even be RU.

Heh, uu is a good option, but as our teirs are pretty much uber and not, OU is just our first thought.

Sorry XD I've just said OU as in I don't think Mew should be banned. Seeing as like everyone has been telling me, we run Uber or NOT Uber, I simply chose not uber.

Um, RU, have not seen one since Pool's. Not do I expect to.

Yeah tiers besides OU and Uber never really mattered to use because we really play anything other than OU anyways.

Either way no one voted him for uber so mew will not be uber. Case closed.
