Pokemon of the Month - November 2013 - Crobat

About Crobat
It flies so silently through the dark on its four wings that it may not be noticed even when nearby. The development of wings on its legs enables it to fly fast but also makes it tough to stop and rest. By alternately resting its front and rear wings, it can fly all day without having to stop.

• Crobat is the fastest poison type Pokemon tied with Mega Gengar
  
• Despite the pokedex says that it's legs and hind wings are the same, a unqiue pair of feet can be seen on gen 3 and 5 sprites

Crobat in Competitive battling
For our last 5th gen Pokemon of the month we have the classic pokemon Crobat. Most of you have probably raised a zubat sometime in your career since it has been in at least one game every generation. Anyways looking at it's stats you see that they are decent. What makes Crobat great is it's gaint speed stat and good movepool that lets it be unpredictable. It can run taunt sets, choice band sets, and even a nasty plot set thanks to it's diverse special movepool. However it's still a flying type so it has stealth rock weakness and all of the weaknesses that come with the flying type. Still Crobat will make a great addition to any team.

This is probably the most common set you will find when facing crobat. The point of the set is to help take down defensive pokemon. Taunt forces them to attack which most defensive pokemon don't like to do. Super Fang cuts their HP in half. Roost keeps you alive as well as gets rid of your flying type for the turn so you can take an electric, ice, or rock attack. Brave bird is your main attacking move. The evs may look weird but they are built to maximize your bulk, power, and speed to the best of crobats ability.
