Kalos league

Mentioned this somewhere before but thought i'd finally make it. Got the idea from the anime's leagues which are kinda cool. Obviously x and y aren't out yet so this will happen sometime after that. Anyway, here it is, feel free to make suggestions and tweaks.

So, we all start our adventures in x and y, choosing a starter and building a team along the way. Finally we defeat the pokemon league and hopefully we have built a worthy team. My idea is to use the very same team that we used to beat the in game pokemon league for this tournament. I think it make it very interesting as there would be a certain amount of luck, skill and excitement.

Rules:

1. Has to be exact same pokemon as used to pokemon league, so no switching out for a fully ev trained pokemon. Further evolving and training to level 100 is allowed and you can change their move pool.
2. There are no restrictions on tiers.
3. Only one legendary per team.
4. Official Pokemon wars rules apply except for the 2 stated above.
5. No breeding.
6. Team must have a Kalos starter.
7. Deliberate ev training is specific stats is not allowed. Your pokemon can be completely ev trained but it will be random.
8. Trading from a 6th gen game is allowed ONLY if its for version exclusives and starters (kanto and kalos)

Winner will be named Kalos champion

Excellent! Great idea, thought you'd just forgotten about this! Just so you guys know, there is a way for us to check up on your Ivs/Evs as well as the location you obtained your pokemon by simply recording and uploading a battle video. So there will be no cheating! Nor breeding, of course. I am so in!

so you just record yourself playing the game going to the summary of each pokemon? is that what you mean?

Will Pokemon obtained through trade prior to beating the e4 be allowed? As long as you used it in the elite 4?

You can only use pokemon you can catch before you beat the elite 4, so no trading.
That would defeat the purpose of this tournament. Its not about who can breed the best pokemon and ev train it in the best way possible. Then i would just be a normal tournament

Yeah I see your point Blue, only Pokemon caught within your own game. Darn, I wanted both Fennekin and Chespin on my team but I guess no trading makes it fair for everyone

What's this about? Did no one hear me? I'm familiar with the rules, they're fairly simple. All I said, was that there really won't be any cheating at all, because there are methods to figure out the whereabouts of a trainer's pokemon. Every pokemon has a specific PID that changes with every insignificant detail, and that can be checked by simply recording the match and uploading it to pokecheck. I said that in order to utterly discourage anyone who might try to breed its starter pokemon or ev train them completely, which is an impossible feat. There's more than sufficient evidence that can be used to find a pokemon that is unable to participate in the tournament... So there is absolutely be no way anyone may attempt to break the rules....

Its a great idea Blue and I'm rather keen for it to start, gonna be a lil while but we will get there.

You should be able to make a poll. Just edit your main post and go to the bottom of the page. Anyways I'd like to join this if I get x or y in time. Also gave this a mention in the newsletter.

Hmm... Is it possible to beat the game without any Ev training? I mean, I liked the rule before, but only because I thought pokemon would get random Evs, with the super training mode, to deliberately go through the game without Wv training sounds like a pain in the butt. After the tournament we'd be forced to train all 6 at the same time... I may pull out of the tournament. My Scraggy's fully trained

Hi SS.... well... i have my 6 pokemon fully EV trained.. so..blue told me i had to restart their EVs to enter the tournament...otherwise i would be out.

I think i may have misworded the ev training bit. I told flash he would have to reset them because he had trained them in specific stats.

I'll fix it up but what i meant was that you cant ev train in specific stats, so yes your pokemon will be fully ev trained but not in any particular way.

Stll... *whispers* pokecheck does not yet support generation 6, so despite all that nonsense I said; there is no way to check the foe's Evs.

So we might as well train them fully to their capabilities. On the brightside, due to pokecheck being off, we can battle using actually legit pokemon. Perfectly imperfect. This also means we can't really check whether a pokemon has been bred, or even if a starter has berm obtained via trade or bred with a Ditto.

Hey, what's this about Blaziken?? You're trainingkne yourself! I mean, I there anyone that opposes the idea of Blaziken being in OU? At the right hands he could wipe out entire teams, but with an above average opponent, Blaziken is quickly OHKO'ed before it even has a chance to get started. Ask Nesspsiboy, he whooped my Blaziken. It's too predictable, I guess. I Better see that Torchic of yours to full power, Blue!!

I think we just have to trust people and hope they are being fair. Just checked all my iv's decent all round for everything

Is it time yet!!? I know not many of us have gotten the gan yet, but this that have must've beatniks elite 4 by now. When's the deadline anyway? All I gotta do is catch a couple guys and raise them to level 50, since TPN showed us that pokemomon do obtain Evs from random battles. That covers the random ev training part.
